During the workshop you'll learn:
We'll head outside to shoot the pictures we need covering a variety of techniques. Then return to the school to install the software you need as a plugin to Lightroom, and process many files into an HDR Photo.
HDR stands for High Dynamic Range. Dynamic range is the difference between the brightest part of a scene, and the darkest. If the difference is extreme, such as landscapes or interior house photos, you can't get details thoughout and invariably over or underexpose areas. HDR is a technique combinging taking multiple photos and processing them to combine all the different light levels into one image.
Landscape photographers will love how simple this technique can be, and how super powerful it is too. Real estate photographers will make pictures that sell! It's my go to method for stunning pictures.
If you wish to sell your landscape photography, or work in real estate, this class will help you make money!
The software for this class is available as a free, fully functioning, trial. The trial software works just like the paid version, but adds a watermark to the final image. The software is a one time cost of $99. The first time I used this software to edit my HDR files, I sold 2 prints at $250 each! Details to follow after booking the class.
You can take this Level 2 class alone and not take any others. However, it builds on the knowledge of the classes Better Composition and the 3 part class Understand Your Camera. So yes, you can just take this class, but unless you have a good understanding of your camera, and you want to cover the technical aspects of this class, I recommend the other two classes first. Better Composition is an "All Levels" class and is certainly recommended whatever your current level.
Frequently people take this class first, and end up coming to the others after. While it's fine to do that, you'll get better value the other way round.
3 hours long. In that time we'll take about what HDR is, then go out to take the pictures we need and eximine the various techniques available to capture teh files. Then we'll head back to the school and process the files into HDR images. I'll share my techniques that produce amazing looking images, sometimes from quite ordinary subjects.
This class is held at the Colorado Photography School's Downtown location. We'll start in the class then go out in vicinity in the downtown area. Before returning to the school to process the files.
